Club BASIS.

Club BASIS is a underground nightclub in Utrecht down besides the canals. It still maintains its original canal structure, making it a memorable location. They specify in the house/techno scene and host international like  Speedy J, Rebekah, and Paula Temple. I was honoured to capture some of the great momenths there. As the club is very strict on their visitors privacy, a low key profile and limiting to capturing a selective attendees and DJ's made this work. It was an interesting assignment, working in the challenging, dark environment. I wanted to focus on silhouettes, gathering around the main light sources. Maintaining the colour red as a consistent and connecting element throughout many shots. I am very happy with this experience, as marketing and published content from within the organisation is consciously kept limited.
